Toyota Pasadena- Automotive Acquisition Specialist

We are looking for a qualified Acquisition Specialist for a family-owned, and operated dealership.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used      vehicles, including any necessary follow-up and coordination.
  • Prospect and engage potential sellers through various channels including service drive, CRM leads, social media, phone calls and walk-ins.
  • Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
  • Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into our appraisal software.
  • Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to the seller.
  • Introduce guests to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
  • Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Purchase 10 or more vehicles per month.
  • Conduct accurate vehicle assessments by collecting and recording all required information for customer appraisal.
  • Identify potential purchases by researching current market trends and analyzing incoming inventory
  • Research motor vehicle industry to monitor competition & analyze the demand for different models
  • Handle paperwork related to vehicle purchases and sales
  • Stay up to date with dealership policies and procedures
  • Ensure all acquisitions comply with company policies, processes and meet all legal and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance.
  • Maintain a professional appearance including following the dealership dress code.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Meets all applicable safety requirements for the position and work environment.

Requirements (included but not limited to):

  • MUST have 2 or more years’ Automotive Acquisition experience.
  • Toyota experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with confidence in your ability to be successful.

The Acquisition Specialist has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $17.50 and $18.00.  The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance.  The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
